Psions are great aren't they ? I should say PDAs are a great concept and Psion make good ones, the Series 3 and 5 in particular. When I first got mine I started using it for email, amongst other things, and my notes about doing that went on to become the subject of a much bigger website called Going Mobile. Unfortunately, that leaves not very much on this page, so it'll probably go down the tubes soon. I don't think it will be missed.

The unofficial Psion FAQ is
available from the web
.
Unlike some lists, it does
contain a lot of useful information, if you want to stretch the abilities
of your Psion. Make it your first stop if the manual has failed you.
Here's some of the shareware I've found useful. If you're interested in any of the following then you may be able to find these on the internet (just give the Zip File Name to archie). If you can't find them yourself, then please get in touch.
| Program name | Description | Zip File Name |
|---|---|---|
| Reader | Capable of reading (but not updating) much longer files than the built-in Word application. | reader23.zip |
| 3T | Simple File Manager. Useful for group operations on Files. You won't need this if you have a 3c. | 3t_135.zip |
| Pelican Battery Checker | Does what it says. Not much more information than Psion-B and Psion-U already give you, except that it will tell you if there's enough welly in your batteries to update your Flash SSD, should you have one. | batchk13.zip |
| Spy | Monitors processes/threads on your Psion. Typically only useful if (a) you are developing your own software on the Psion or (b) you are plagued by poorly written software (e.g. some games) which locks up, or prevents auto switch off from working. | spy.app |
